About Our Founder

 

Stan Powers, Founder and COO/President of Lone Star Services, brings more than 30 years of experience in road construction, traffic control, and pipeline support across multiple states.

 

He began his career in 1988 as a member of the International Laborers Union, working with Highway Asphalt in Akron, Ohio. Over the years, Stan developed extensive hands-on experience alongside highway contractors and pipeline crews, building a strong foundation in safety, efficiency, and teamwork. After a long and successful career in the field, he retired in 2020.

 

Later that same year, Stan transitioned into a Business Developer role for a traffic control company, where he played a key role in its rapid growth—helping quadruple both its workforce and overall business in just two and a half years.

 

In 2023, driven by a long-held vision, Stan founded Lone Star Services, a family-owned, minority-diversified company specializing in flagging and traffic control. What began with just six employees quickly expanded more than sevenfold, with operations now spanning multiple states.

 

Lone Star Services is built on strong Christian values, with a commitment to safety, professionalism, and exceptional customer service. Stan believes employees are the heart of the company and should always be treated with dignity and respect. His leadership reflects a dedication to doing things the right way—prioritizing both people and performance in every project.

 

Raised in the mountains of West Virginia, Stan is the son of a World War II veteran and coal miner. His upbringing instilled in him a deep work ethic, strong faith, and an appreciation for opportunity. Inspired in part by his brother’s success in business, Stan carried a vision for entrepreneurship that ultimately became Lone Star Services.

 

Today, he remains committed to growing the company while making a positive impact in the lives of others. With faith at the center of every decision, Stan leads Lone Star Services with purpose, integrity, and a focus on serving both customers and employees.
